V&S Schuler Utilities purchased 25 percent of its materials from Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) in 2020, helping those companies compete in the marketplace while also  strengthening our supply chains.

With the number of businesses owned by women and minorities steadily increasing in the United States, including in the manufacturing and construction industries, V&S Schuler recognizes the importance of working with MWBE companies and helping them solidify their overall business stature.

“We are proud to support the growth and development of Minority/Women-owned Businesses by providing opportunities for these companies,” V&S Schuler Senior Vice President Greg Shaheen said. “These partnerships connect us with strong businesses that have the resources and capabilities to provide us with the materials we need, allowing them to succeed as they manufacture vital components for our product.”

As V&S Schuler expands operations, a primary objective is to continue championing Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE).

“We are committed to empowering more businesses,” Shaheen said. “It is important we help them meet their full potential in our industry, and we actively seek out companies owned by minorities and women. These companies help us provide a great product.”
